Democratic Congressman to Trump: Don’t Fire Rosenstein: ‘I Think There Has Been Enough Disruption’

Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) urged President Trump not to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has come under fire after a report alleging that Rosenstein secretly record President Trump in the White House and discussed recruiting cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove the President from office. “I don’t think he should fire Rosenstein, I think there has been enough disruption,” Smith told Bold TV. “I think Rosenstein should be allowed to continue to do his job, and if President Trump were to fire Rosenstein, everyone would assume it was an effort to undermine the Mueller investigation and that’s the biggest problem here.
